Submit your passport and documents
At the appointment, hand over your passport and any requested supporting documents (bank statements, employment letter, travel itinerary). Your passport will be kept for processing — you won't have it during the decision period.

Wait for a decision
Standard processing takes 15 working days (3 weeks). You can pay extra for priority (5 working days) or super priority (next working day) if available. Track your application online using the reference number.

Collect your passport with the visa vignette
Once approved, you'll get an email to collect your passport from the VAC or have it couriered. Check the vignette — it shows the validity dates and number of entries. The visa is usually valid for 6 months from the start date.
