Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Georgia eVisa at evisa.gov.ge. Processing takes 5–7 business days, and the visa is valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover your stay
Your Zimbabwe passport needs at least one blank page for the entry stamp. Georgia does not require 6 months of validity beyond your departure date — just enough to cover your stay.Required
Return or onward ticket
Recommended
Immigration officers at Tbilisi Airport may ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Recommended
Hotel booking confirmation or a letter of invitation from a host in Georgia. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it ready avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended
Carry bank statements or a credit card showing you can support yourself during your stay. No specific minimum amount is published, but around $50 per day is a safe benchmark.Recommended
eVisa is mandatory — no visa on arrival
Zimbabwean passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Georgia. You must apply and receive approval before you travel. The eVisa is a single-entry permit, so if you leave Georgia, you'll need a new one to re-enter.
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. If it's close to expiring, renew it before you apply. Border officers will deny entry if your passport doesn't meet this requirement.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to www.evisa.gov.ge, fill in your details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days. You'll receive the approved eVisa by email.
2
Print or save your eVisa
Once approved, print a copy and also save a PDF on your phone. Border officers at Tbilisi International Airport or any land crossing will ask to see it.
3
Prepare your documents for immigration
At passport control, hand over your passport, the eVisa printout (or show it on your phone), and your return ticket. They may also ask for your accommodation booking. The officer will stamp your passport and let you through.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, head to baggage claim, then customs. There's usually nothing to declare for personal items. Exit into the arrivals hall.
