Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your Colombian passport needs to be valid for the entire time you're in Singapore. Singapore does not enforce a 6-month validity rule for Colombian nationals, but your airline might ask for it at check-in — check with them before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Singapore
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward ticket showing you leave Singapore within 30 days. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they check this at the counter before stamping you in.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their address and contact number. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it ready avoids delays if they do.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during the stay
Have access to at least 1,000 SGD (or equivalent in cash, credit card, or bank statement) for your stay. Immigration may ask how you'll cover expenses — a credit card or recent bank statement works fine.Recommended
Overstaying is serious
If you stay beyond your 30-day visit pass, you face a fine of up to SGD 1,000 and possible deportation. Overstaying by 90 days or more can result in caning and imprisonment. Set a reminder to leave on time.
SGAC is free — avoid scam sites
The official Singapore Arrival Card is free. Some third-party websites charge fees. Always use the official ICA website or the MyICA Mobile app.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents before you fly
Print or save digital copies of your passport info page, return ticket, hotel booking, and travel insurance. Keep them in a folder on your phone or in your carry-on.
2
Fill out the Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC)
Complete the online SGAC within 3 days before your arrival. It's free and takes 5 minutes. You'll get a confirmation email with a QR code — save it or screenshot it.
3
Arrive at Changi Airport (or other entry point)
Follow signs to 'Foreign Passports' immigration counters. Have your passport, SGAC QR code, and return ticket ready. The officer will ask your purpose of visit and length of stay. Answer clearly and briefly.
4
Receive your entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with a 30-day visit pass. Check the stamp before leaving the counter — it shows your allowed stay until date. If it's wrong, ask for correction immediately.
5
Collect your luggage and proceed
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel and walk through customs. Green channel if you have nothing to declare, red channel if you have dutiable goods or restricted items.
