Apply for your visa online
Go to the Bureau of Consular Affairs visa application portal (visawebapp.boca.gov.tw). Fill in your personal details, upload a passport-style photo, and submit. Pay the visa fee (around TWD 1,600–3,200 depending on type and processing speed). You'll receive a confirmation email.

Wait for processing
Standard processing takes 5–10 business days. You can pay extra for expedited service (2–3 days). Check your email (and spam folder) for the approval notification. Once approved, print the visa document.

Prepare your documents for travel
Before you fly, gather: your printed visa approval, passport (valid 6+ months), return ticket, hotel booking, and travel insurance. Keep them in your carry-on.

Arrive at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE)
After landing, follow signs to 'Foreign Passports' immigration. Have your passport, visa approval, and return ticket ready. The officer may ask your purpose of visit and where you're staying. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport and you're in.
