What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to molina.imigrasi.go.id, fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page, pay the fee (around IDR 500,000, about USD 35), and submit. Processing usually takes 1–3 business days.
2

Once approved, you'll get a PDF via email. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at immigration in Indonesia.
3
Prepare documents for arrival
Before you land, have your passport, eVisa printout or digital copy, return/onward ticket, and first night hotel booking ready. Keep them in your hand luggage.
4
