Kenya entry requirements for Lebanon passport holders
Lebanese passport holders need an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) to enter Kenya. The application is entirely online and typically takes about 3 business days to process. Apply well before your flight to avoid delays.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Kenya e-VisaYou must get this online before you fly – there is no visa-on-arrival for Lebanese citizens. Apply online before travel | All Lebanese passport holders must obtain an e-Visa prior to arrival. Apply through the official Kenya e-Visa portal at https://etakenya.go.ke/. The e-Visa is typically valid for a single entry; the maximum stay is determined at the port of entry. | Required |
| Passport validityCheck your passport expiry date – if it's less than 6 months away, renew it before your trip. At least 6 months remaining | Your Lebanese passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended date of entry into Kenya. | Required |
| Blank passport pagesMake sure there's an empty page for the immigration officer to stamp. At least 1 blank page | Your passport must have at least one blank page for the entry stamp. | Required |
| Return or onward ticketHave a printed or digital copy of your onward travel plans ready – it's a common request. May be requested | Immigration officials may ask for proof of a return or onward ticket. Although not explicitly required, it is strongly recommended to have one to avoid entry issues. | Recommended |
| Proof of sufficient fundsCarry a bank statement or credit card to show you can support yourself during your visit. May be requested | You may be asked to show evidence of sufficient funds for your stay in Kenya. The amount is not fixed, but having access to cash or a credit card is advisable. | Recommended |
| Yellow fever vaccination certificateIf you've been in Africa or South America recently, get the vaccine and carry the certificate. Required if arriving from an endemic country | A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if you are arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever transmission. Lebanon is not currently on the endemic list, but you may be asked for it if you have transited through an endemic country. | Recommended |
| Arrival declarationYou don't need to fill out any extra online forms before you travel. Not required | Kenya does not require a separate arrival declaration form for Lebanese citizens. | Not required |

Transiting through Kenya
Transit passengers staying airside and not passing immigration do not need an eTA. If you need to leave the airport, you must obtain an eTA.
- Citizens of countries exempt from eTA (e.g., some African countries) may not need it for transit.
- Passengers with a confirmed onward ticket and no checked luggage may transit without eTA.
