Visa on arrival
Visa on arrival
Moroccan passport holders can get a visa on arrival at major Indonesian airports (Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya, Medan) and seaports. Pay $35 USD in cash at the visa-on-arrival counter before immigration. The visa allows 30 days stay and can be extended once for another 30 days at any immigration office.Apply onlineRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay
Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining from your date of entry. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding. No exceptions.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for visa-on-arrival entry
Immigration officers at Jakarta and Bali routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination. If you cannot show one, you may be refused entry.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Immigration may ask for your hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host. Have a printed copy or a screenshot on your phone. If you are staying with friends, ask them to send you a signed invitation letter with their KTP (ID) number.Recommended
Proof of funds
Cash or bank statement
Officers may ask to see proof you can support yourself during your stay. Carry at least $1,000 USD in cash or have a recent bank statement showing sufficient funds. Credit cards are not always accepted as proof.Recommended
Cash only for VoA
The Visa on Arrival fee must be paid in cash. ATMs are available after immigration, but it's easier to bring 500,000 IDR in cash. US dollars are sometimes accepted but not guaranteed.
VoA is not extendable
The 30-day VoA for Moroccan passport holders cannot be extended. If you need more time, apply for a different visa type before you travel.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at the VoA counter
After deplaning, follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' or 'VoA'. This is usually before immigration. At major airports like Jakarta (CGK) or Bali (DPS), counters are clearly marked.
2
Pay the fee and get your receipt
Pay 500,000 IDR in cash (Indonesian Rupiah). US dollars are sometimes accepted but change is given in IDR. You'll receive a payment receipt.
3
Proceed to immigration
Hand over your passport, the receipt, and your boarding pass. The officer will stamp the visa sticker into your passport. You may be asked for your return ticket or hotel booking — have them ready.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel and proceed through customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel.
