What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to windowmalaysia.my, create an account, fill in your passport details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around 30–50 USD depending on processing speed). Processing takes 1–3 working days. You'll receive the eVisa by email as a PDF.
2
Print or save the eVisa
Print a paper copy and also save the PDF on your phone. Immigration at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) or any other entry point will ask to see it.
3
Prepare your documents for arrival
Have your passport, printed eVisa, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready. At KLIA, follow signs to 'Foreign Passport' queues. The officer will check your documents, take your fingerprints, and stamp you in. The whole process usually takes 15–30 minutes.
