Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your Mozambique passport needs to be valid for the full 30 days you plan to stay in Singapore. Singapore does not require 6 months of validity beyond your departure date, but your airline might enforce it — check with them before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Outbound travel proof
Immigration officers at Changi Airport routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return ticket or a flight out of Singapore within 30 days ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host address
Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host in Singapore. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it avoids delays at the counter.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient cash or bank statement
Have access to at least SGD 1,000 or equivalent for your stay. A recent bank statement or credit card showing available credit works fine — officers almost never check, but it's good backup.Recommended
Passport validity is critical
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you won't be allowed to fly. Renew your passport well in advance.
No visa needed, but be prepared
You don't need to apply for a visa, but you still need a return ticket, accommodation booking, and enough money for your stay. Immigration may ask for any of these. Keep digital copies on your phone.

What happens at the border

1
Arrival at Changi Airport
After landing at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then 'Foreign Passports'. Join the queue for manual counters (automated gates are for Singapore residents and certain passport holders only). Have your passport and completed arrival card ready.
2
Submit SG Arrival Card (if required)
As of 2026, the SG Arrival Card is not mandatory for Mozambican passport holders, but it is recommended to submit it online up to 3 days before arrival to speed up processing. If you haven't submitted it, you can fill out a paper card at the airport.
3
Immigration Interview
The officer will check your passport, ask your purpose of visit, length of stay, and where you're staying. Answer clearly. They may ask to see your return ticket or accommodation booking. The whole process usually takes 1-2 minutes.
4
Receive Entry Stamp
If approved, the officer will stamp your passport with a visit pass valid for up to 30 days. Check the stamp before leaving the counter — it shows the date by which you must leave Singapore. Keep the stamp safe.
