What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) or Kaohsiung (KHH)
Follow signs to 'Foreign Passports' immigration. There are separate queues for visa-free arrivals. Have your passport and boarding pass ready.
2
Present your passport and answer questions
The officer will check your passport validity, ask your purpose of visit (tourism/business), and may ask for your return ticket or accommodation. Answer clearly and briefly.
3
Get your entry stamp
The officer stamps your passport with a 90-day visa-free entry. Check the stamp says '90 days' before walking away. If it's less, ask for correction immediately.
4
Collect luggage and proceed to customs
After immigration, grab your bags from the carousel. Customs is usually green channel (nothing to declare) unless you have restricted items.
