Serbian passport holders can get a visa on arrival at any international checkpoint in Cambodia. This is the standard way to enter for tourism — no need to apply in advance. As of 2026, the process takes about 15–20 minutes at the airport.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply online before travel
Apply at evisa.gov.kh for a tourist eVisa ($30 USD, single entry, valid 3 months). Processing takes 3 working days — do not wait until the last minute. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of stay
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your arrival date in Cambodia. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Cambodia
Immigration officers at Phnom Penh and Siem Reap airports routinely ask for a flight out of Cambodia. Have a printed or digital booking showing your departure within the visa-free period (30 days for visa on arrival).Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel confirmation or an invitation letter from your host. Immigration rarely checks this for short stays, but budget airlines sometimes ask at check-in.Recommended
Proof of funds
Cash or bank statement
Have at least $500 USD in cash or a bank statement showing sufficient funds. Immigration rarely asks, but you may need to show it if you look like you are working illegally.Recommended
Cash only at the visa counter
The visa-on-arrival counter accepts only US dollars in cash. No credit cards, no other currencies. Bring exact change if possible — officers rarely have change for $50 or $100 bills. ATMs are available after immigration, but you need cash before that.
Photo booth available at major airports
If you forget your passport photo, there are photo booths at Phnom Penh and Siem Reap airports near the visa counter. They cost about $5 and take 2 minutes. Sihanoukville airport may not have one, so bring your own.

What happens at the border

1
Get off the plane and head to the visa-on-arrival counter
At Phnom Penh (PNH), Siem Reap (REP), or Sihanoukville (KOS), follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' before immigration. Don't join the immigration queue yet.
2
Fill out the application form and hand over documents
Pick up a visa application form at the counter. Fill it in (use block capitals), attach your photo, and submit it with your passport and $30/$35 cash. The officer will give you a numbered ticket.
3
Wait for your passport to be processed
Sit in the waiting area. Processing takes 10–15 minutes. Listen for your number or name being called.
4
Collect your passport with the visa sticker
Once called, collect your passport. Check the visa sticker — make sure the dates and your name are correct. Then proceed to the immigration line.
5
Go through immigration and collect your luggage
Present your passport with the visa sticker and the arrival card. The officer will stamp you in. Then head to baggage claim.

Frequently asked questions

A tourist visa (T-class) gives you 30 days. An ordinary visa (E-class) also gives 30 days but is meant for business or longer stays. Both are single-entry. You can extend a tourist visa once for 30 more days ($45–$55 at immigration offices in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, or Sihanoukville).
Yes. Tourist visas can be extended once for 30 days. Ordinary visas can be extended multiple times (up to 1 year). Go to the Immigration Department in Phnom Penh (or a visa agency) before your current visa expires. Cost is around $45–$55 for a tourist extension, $50–$80 for an ordinary visa extension.
Visa on arrival is available at all major international land border crossings with Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos. The process is the same — fill out a form, pay $30/$35 in cash, and wait. Some smaller crossings may not have the facility, so check in advance if you're crossing overland.
Yes, Serbia is eligible for Cambodia's e-visa. It costs $36 plus a processing fee, takes 3 business days, and is valid for 30 days. You apply at evisa.gov.kh. The e-visa is only accepted at Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Sihanoukville airports, and at the Poipet and Bavet land borders. If you're entering elsewhere, you'll need visa on arrival.
Overstay costs $10 per day, capped at $500. You pay at immigration when you leave. Overstaying more than 30 days can get you blacklisted, so don't push it.
No, immigration doesn't ask for bank statements or cash on hand. But it's smart to have enough for your stay — ATMs are widely available in cities but less so in rural areas.
No. Diplomatic and official passport holders from Serbia still need a visa — either on arrival or in advance. There's no visa waiver agreement between Serbia and Cambodia.
