Apply for the eVisa online
Go to https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/ and fill out the application. You'll need your passport details, travel dates, and a digital photo. The process takes about 15-20 minutes. Pay the fee (around $25 USD for a 30-day eVisa, but check the current rate) and submit.

Wait for approval
Approval usually takes 3-5 business days. You'll receive an email with your eVisa attached as a PDF. Print it out and keep a copy on your phone as backup. Don't book non-refundable flights until you have the approval.

Arrive at the airport in India
At immigration, join the 'e-Tourist Visa' queue (it's usually well-marked). Have your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket ready. The officer will scan your passport, take your fingerprints, and stamp you in. This usually takes 5-10 minutes.
