Apply for an Indian eVisa at indianvisaonline.gov.in at least 4 days before departure. Fees range from $25 to $80 USD depending on the visa type (e-Tourist, e-Business, e-Medical). Valid passport
Must be valid for 6 months beyond stay
Your Taiwan passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining from your date of entry into India. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Indian airports routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host address
Carry a printed hotel confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host. Immigration may ask where you are staying, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show sufficient money for your stay
Have a bank statement or credit card ready to demonstrate you can cover your expenses. While not always checked, officers at some ports of entry (like Delhi or Mumbai) may request it.Recommended
eVisa is the only option for tourism
Taiwan passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in India. You must apply for an eVisa online before traveling. No exceptions.
Passport validity counts from arrival, not departure
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you land in India. If it expires sooner, renew it before applying for the eVisa.
