Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Georgia. If it expires sooner, you will be turned away at the border. Check your passport's expiry date before booking anything.
Overstaying is costly
If you stay longer than 360 days, you risk a fine of 180 GEL (about $65) for the first 90 days of overstay, plus additional penalties. Repeated overstays can lead to a ban from re-entering Georgia.

Arrive at Georgian border
You'll enter through Tbilisi International Airport (TBS), Kutaisi International Airport (KUT), Batumi Airport (BUS), or one of the land border crossings from Turkey (e.g., Sarpi, Türkgözü).

Queue at passport control
Join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport and any supporting documents (return ticket, accommodation) ready. The officer will check your passport, stamp it, and wave you through. No forms to fill.

Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim (if you checked bags), then walk through customs. Green channel if you have nothing to declare. You're in.
